God Damnd Saints came to be when singersongwriter michal b moved from Canada to Europe in 2006 seeking a crushing rhythm section, (bass and drums), who could give the rock songs a "heavy bottom", while at the same time lending more diversity and flavour to the more down-tempo and acoustic numbers.
What one hears as a result of this combination of players is an original rock band with influences ranging from The Beatles and Stone Temple Pilots to Muse and Led Zeppelin.
With Steffen Wutzke on Bass and Georg von Kettler on the drums, this album is the heavy-yet-melodic result of two years of refining their sound by playing throughout France, UK, Germany, Belgium and Austria, (where the band enjoyed Top 10 success on the charts last summer for their song "Butterfly Tree" - still unreleased in Germany, but stayed on the charts there for over 20 weeks).
In January 2009, guitarist Sebastian Büttner koined the band adding another delicious layer to the bands sound.

Die Band entstand 2006 als Singer/Songwriter Michal B. Kanada in Richtung Europa verließ, um eine schlagkräftige Rhythmussektion zu suchen, die seinen Rocksongs einen druckvollen Unterbau und gleichzeitig den ruhigeren, akustischen Titeln mehr Vielfalt und Farbe verleien konnte.
Zu hören ist eine klassische Rockband mit Einflüssen, die von den Beatles, Stone Temple Pilots bis zu Muse und Led Zeppelin reichen.
Mit Steffen Wutzke am Bass und Georg von Kettler am Schlagzeug ist dieses Album das rockig-melodische Ergebnis einer zweijährigen Tour, die den Sound reifen ließ. God Damnd Saints spielten in Frankreich, Großbritannien, Deutschland, Belgien und Österreich, wo sie übrigens mit „Butterfly Tree“ einen Top-Ten-Erfolg landeten, der, obwohl er dort seine Position 20 Wochen hielt, in Deutschland leider noch nicht veröffentlich wurde.
Seit Januar 2009 ist Gitarrist Sebastian Büttner festes Bandmitglied von God Damnd Saints.
